During my time spent working at Durham College in the Communications+Marketing department, as well as a freelance designer, I designed the interfaces for the redesign of the colleges website. I was responsible for creating mockups for the home page, a sample of a program page, subpage templates, super menu designs, icons, buttons, sidebar ads and main page slider images (created as photoshop templates so content could be edited in house), and setting up stylesheets which followed the brand standards for the developers.
The goal of the redesign was to incorporate more multimedia on the home page, creating a dynamic, interactive marketing and recruitment tool. Features included social media, with the ability to toggle in between Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, program videos featured prominently on program pages and the ability to highlight images and videos in super menus.
This project was a year in the making and the result is a website that is cleaner, more organized, easier to navigate and strongly communicates the Durham College brand. View the live site here.

A microsite, brochure and poster were designed to promote travel to the city of Portland, Oregon. The brochure and microsite are split into sections (weather, shopping, dining, attractions, transportation, accommodations and nature), each section had an “icon” that corresponded to the content. These icons make up the navigation on the microsite and are also featured on the poster. The microsite serves as an online version of the print brochure and would be linked to from their main site. Bright colours, simple illustrations that reflect the best of Portland and photography that showcases the beauty of the Pacific Northwest are used to promote the destination.
